Are there any risks as far as damage to your lashes when you get (salon type) eyelash extensions?

will they continue to grow in the same after the extensions. for example i used to get acryllic nails done and when i stopped it took a very, very long time for them to get back to normal. also how often do you have to redo them? can i go swimming with them on? i have seen nail salons advertising it for around $30. is that the best place to go?Are there any risks as far as damage to your lashes when you get (salon type) eyelash extensions?
A nail salon is definitely not the best place to go, since eyelash extensions are considered plastic surgery, in the sense that they graft on eyelashes. Here's something that should help you decide:

Yes. But the risk is lower.

When the salon person puts the glue in your eyelashes to hold them in, the glue is not good for the hairs on your eyelashes, and should touch as little as possible.

I hope this helps.

Definitely should get it done professionally to avoid too much glue touching too many of the hairs. Or else they could all fall out.
